The panel workstation PPC-1000 is a series of 15” Intel® Pentium® 4 and Pentium® III based industrial panel computers designed to serve as a friendly human-machine interface for easy integration into any point-of-service panel workstation applications. The panel workstation is designed as a desktop free standing PC terminal or panel mount PC and swivel-arm-mount PC. The PPC-1000 panel workstation provides full PC functionality, multi-I/O and expansion capability, and touch screen LCD user interface. PPC-1000 panel workstation accommodates a wide range of PC peripherals for a host of applications such as operator panels, information terminals, point-of-sales and point-of-service computer.

Add-on PCI Card Length Restriction

The PPC-1000 has two open PCI card slots. In both Intel Pentium 4- and Pentium III-based systems, the 2 PCI slots support one PCI card with maximum 6" card length and another card with maximum card length of 11".

PPC-1000 comes standard with the type-B desktop stand (1) installed.

  1. Choose type-B desktop pedestal stand if you will use the PPC-1000 touch screen LCD in an upright position. The stand lets you tilt back the LCD 30 degrees from the upright position.
  2. Choose type-A desktop stand if you need the LCD tilted back even more. The tilt angle is adjustable within 30 to 47 degrees range.

PPC-1000 can be panel-mounted. Four plastic knock-outs on the back of the chassis must first be removed. The cut-out dimensions are: 15.6"(w) x 11.3"(h).

When you install PPC-1000 in Kiosks or enclosures, be sure to leave enough room around the air vent openings to allow adequate air flow.

  2. Upper mounting brackets inserted into the knock-outs for panel-mount (two additional mounting brackets are inserted into the lower knock-outs).

PPC-1000 conforms to the VESA Flat Panel Mounting Physical Mounting Interface Standard (Video Electronics Standards Association® FPMPMI™)

The VESA Flat Panel Mounting Physical Mounting Interface Standard defines a physical mounting interface for flat panel monitors, and corresponding standards for flat panel monitor mounting devices, such as wall and table arms.

An LCD monitor with a VESA mounting consists of a set of threaded inserts on the back of the monitor in a standardized format. These are 4mm inserts in a square pattern 75mm on each side. On larger monitors these are in a square pattern 100mm on each side.
