The MPC-1000 is a portable computer designed for mobile professionals that require desktop PC performance. It offers added functions of PCIe add-on card through a PCIe x16 expansion slot.
About the size of a briefcase, the MPC-1000 packs powerful dual- or quad-core computing power in a road-ready briefcase size portable enclosure. The rugged computer chassis is constructed of aluminum alloy. A large carrying handle makes carrying the computer easy, and a carry case with wheels let you transport the system over long distances.
The MPC-1000 system features a 15.6" widescreen LCD, lighted and spill-proof keyboard. Internally, a MINI-ITX form-factor motherboard supports the latest Intel processors and HD graphics. A fully configured MPC-1000 provides a totally integrated portable PC ready to be deployed in industrial and field environments such as telecom field service, data acquisition and test applications.
Expandable and upgradable system features using COTS components
MPC-1000 is designed to let you expand its I/O capabilities using commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) processors, storage devices, and PCIe add-in cards. Its card cage provides one PCI-Express x16 slot. There are two hard drive bays supporting 2.5" hard drives, one of which is externally removable.
