The dual-rail design represents an intelligent use of rack space. Essentially, two sets of slide rails are attached to the LCD and keyboard allowing each component to slide in and out of the rack independent of the other.
With this approach, the operator can hide the keyboard while still allow the LCD to remain displayed, even if the rack door is closed.
It also gives an additional level of server management security by having the keyboard hidden to prevent unauthorized access.
The DMK-520S17 introduces a new DUAL RAIL monitor keyboard design and an intelligent use of rack space for server management. The DMK series monitor keyboard rack console fits in a standard, 19-inch rack configuration taking up just 1 rack unit space. Its clamshell design allows the console to slide beyond mounted servers and equipment, ensuring clearance for the full extension of the LCD and keyboard. The LCD monitor flips up for use.
The DMK series monitor keyboard mouse features a 17 inch flat panel LCD monitor. It delivers 1280x1024 optimum resolutiuon, 450:1 contrast ration, and 50,000 hours of MTBF. An on/off switch lets you shut off the LCD backlight; prolonging the panel's service life.
The DMK monitor keyboard rack console occupies just 1U of rack space. It's the most efficient and cost-effective way to control your server rack. Its low power consumption leaves more power for servers and storage.
The entire LCD monitor keyboard drawer is constructed of metal for ruggedness. The slide-out panel and keyboard tray is shipped with ball-bearing slide rails already attached to the unit. Rack mounting brackets can be extended from 19.75" up to 33.5" accomodating a wide range of equipment racks with different depth.
