The SMK-490WX17 is a rack console featuring a combination of a widescreen, flip-up LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse, and 16 port console switch in a space-saving clamshell design. The SMK-490WX17 is designed to be installed in a standard, 19-inch rack configuration. The LCD monitor flips up for use and folds down for storage.

The SMK-490WX17 rack console includes a high brightness, high contrast ratio, 17 inch widescreen flat panel LCD monitor. Its 1280 x 768 pixels resolution provides approximately a 16:10 aspect ratio display. And with 600:1 contrast ratio, a level approaching that of CRT monitors, you can judge your work more accurately because subtle shades of color or gray in your graphic images become visible. The widescreen LCD monitor provides more screen area for your applications. The WXGA display provides 25% more pixels than XGA resolution. The increased screen resolution has a direct impact on productivity, because now you can show more of your data, images, spreadsheet with less scrolling.

The entire LCD monitor keyboard rack console is constructed of metal for ruggedness. The slide-out panel and keyboard tray is shipped with ball-bearing slide rails already attached to the unit. Rack mounting brackets can be extended from 20.0" up to 35.4" accomodating a wide range of equipment racks with different depth.

It has an 8-character password security feature that ensures only authorized users can view and control connected PCs or servers.
