Dual Rail Slide-out Monitor and Keyboard
New Rackmount LCD Console and Console KVM Switch
Contemporary MicroSystems introduces three rack LCD consoles using an innovative dual-rail design. Essentially, the rack console uses two sets of slide rails. By mounting the LCD panel and keyboard on separate slide rails, each component can slide in and out of the rack independent of the other.
- DMK-520S17 is a LCD console without KVM switch,
- DMK-580S17 comes with an integrated 8-port KVM switch
To access the LCD and keyboard, you pull both components out from the rack. If you no longer need to use the keyboard, just slide away the keyboard tray. The LCD remains outside of the rack, in display, even if the rack door is closed. This approach also gives an additional level of server management security by having the keyboard hidden to prevent unauthorized access.
The pull-out LCD and keyboard tray lets you extend the LCD and keyboard 16.8 inches from the rack for unobstructed access of both the display and keyboard.
