The system chassis features a fold-down keyboard and a 17-inch active matrix flat panel display.

The MPC-9000 series supports commercial off-the-shelf PC components. You can select from a wide array of processors and components to assemble a system that meets your needs today, and still have room for expansion and upgrades tomorrow.
Four drive bays supporting optical read/write devices and multiple hard drives
rugged lunch box style portable computer MPC-9000 series has 4 drive bays for storage devicesThe MPC-9000 portable workstation series has four open drive spaces—two 3.5" and two 5.25" drive bays. They let you configure your own portable computing solution with the features you need.

All drive bays are externally accessible by removing the protective door. You can install fixed or removable data storage devices such as: 3.5" ATA, serial ATA, SCSI hard drives. The 5.25" drive bays lets you install read/write optical disc drives or mobile racks that support hot-plugging and removable hard drives.
Expand system features with PCI and PCI-Express add-on boards
rugged lunch box style portable computer MPC-9000 comes with PCI and PCI-express slots for add-on cardsThe MPC-9000 supports industry standard motherboards—ATX, Micro-ATX, dual processor server boards, etc. This means the latest server and PC workstation technologies are readily available.

Start with our portable chassis and add your choice of motherboard board and peripheral board. Our standard motherboard includes PCI-Express x16 and x1 slots, ethernet, serial, USB and video interfaces.
