CompactPCI portable workstation with 6U 6-slot, H.110 CT bus backplaneThe CPCI-6615 provides a totally integrated solution for mobile computing requiring industrial ruggedness and robustness that CompactPCI offers. The chassis features a fold-down keyboard and a 15-inch active matrix flat panel display. A 6U 6-slot cPCI backplane also has a H.110 CT bus.

A CPU blade is all that's needed to configure a portable solution because the CPCI-6615 portable chassis comes with its own ATX power supply, optical and floppy drives and a removable 3.5" hard drive bay that supports readily available ATA hard drives.

industrial LCD monitor keyboard pull-out drawer with mouseThe CPCI-6615 has a 6U x 24HP card cage with a six-slot CompactPCI backplane. One left-hand system slot and five peripheral slots lets you configure your own portable cPCI solution with the features you need.

Start with our portable chassis and add your choice of cPCI CPU board and peripheral boards. Our standard CPU board includes ethernet, serial, USB and video interfaces. It comes with one PMC site and a 2.5" IDE hard drive tray. Or you may select from a wide array of commercial-off-the-shelf CDROM and rewritable optical drives, 3.5" hard drives up to 300GB, for a truely cost-effective cPCI system.

industrial LCD monitor keyboard pull-out drawer with mouseTo remove the heat from the card cage, the CPCI-6615 uses a combination of a bottom-mounted intake fan, air duct above the card cage and an exhaust fan. The intake and exhaust fans generate most of the internal air flow. These fans draw air through the bottom filter and up through the 6-slot convection area. The air duct moves the air to the exhaust area. In the exhaust area, the exhaust fan flushes the warm air out through the side vents.

Air vents on the power supply enclosure along with the power supply's internal fan provide another path for the warm air in the exhaust area. Click here for enlarged view.
